***SAFE 09/07/16 ***ANOTHER CHANCE FOR ADORABLE PUFFY!! LET’S GET HIM SAFE THIS TIME! PUFFY ENJOYS BACK RUBS (except by the ACC)……PUFFY is a mellow, fun, NEUTERED twelve year old who had a happy family life and a cat pal TINY (not listed). After twelve years of that happy family life, someone developed Allergies to both cats…amazing how that happens and also how no one ever takes allergy meds instead of abandoning their cats! PUFFY likes to eat, sleep and play and he interacts with visiting children. At his evaluation….”Puffy was at the front of the kennel reaching out with paws trying to get the assessor’s attention”……The ACC gave PUFFY and EXPNOCHILD rating because he didn’t like their plastic hand touching his back while the former owner clearly states he likes back rubs!! So who are you going to believe?? PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT HIS HANDSOME, HAPPY GUY!! And maybe give a thought for his friend TINY, too!! If you need assistance, email us at [email protected]

09/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Puffy has never lived with children and is relaxed around strangers. He is very affectionate with the family and enjoys back rubs. Puffy has lived with another neutered cat and they live together in harmony. He allows all handling and shared a hooded litter box with the other cat. His owner describes him as friendly, playful and loving and say that he loves playing string and stuffed toys. Reaction to assessor: Puffy was at the front of the kennel reaching out with paws trying to get the assessor’s attention. Reaction when softly spoken to: Puffy keeps her tail at body level and starts rubbing up on the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Puffy remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Puffy rubs up against the assessor’s hand and allows petting all over. He gets irritated when touched on his lower back and will whip around and hiss. His tail starts to sway back and forth the more and more you pet him and he continues to hiss throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Puffy is tense when held, hisses and struggles to be put down. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Puffy solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention or may play roughly. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children.
