SAFE 9/23/16 ***RETURNED AFTER ONE DAY OF BEING ADOPTED ** PRYNCE IS A GORGEOUS DMH AND EGYPTIAN MAU MIX…SO WHY IS HE IN A SHELTER? Well, for starters, these IDIOTS who “self-diagnosed” PRYNCE with asthma and yet DID NOT bring him to a vet to confirm, just didn’t want to deal with it. They also claimed it’s because they are moving and have “too many”… TOO MANY EXCUSES!!!! This guy is 5 years old and already NEUTERED, he’s ready to go if you’ll just have him. Stop looking for your knight in shining armor…your PRYNCE has arrived and waiting for YOU!

09/13/16 15:50 Prynce A1089652 is a 5yr old neutered male gray tabby & white/gray DMH & Egyptian Mau mix feline who was born at home & is being surrendered due to too many pets, owner moving and Prynce having “asthma”. Prynce was last seen by a veterinarian when he was neutered 4yrs ago and according to the owner he has asthma which was self diagnosed by them and he hasn’t been to a vet to confirm. Socialization: Around strangers Prynce’s behavior is unknown as he’s only been around the owner. He hasn’t been around children but did live with a miniature Schnauzer and a few other cats and was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate & playful with them and the adult. Prynce hasn’t bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Prynce hasn’t been on a car ride. He isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up/held, being brushed or with being placed into a carrier. Prynce hasn’t been given a bath, had his nails trimmed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Prynce is described as friendly, affectionate, playful & confident with a medium-high activity level. When the owner is home Prynce follows them around sometimes. He enjoys mouse & ball toys and is an indoor only cat that sleeps where ever. Prynce eats dry & wet Friskies 1-2x a day. He is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within. Prynce doesn’t scratch on anything in the home. Intake Behavior: Prynce initially had a soft body & soft eyes. He allowed to be pet (while in his carrier). When I attempted to remove Prynce he retreated but then after a couple of minutes he fled and when grabbed he attempted to bite & scratch. I grabbed him with a towel and placed him into a kennel. I was unable to scan, collar or get his picture on the backdrop.

09/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Former owner stated around strangers Prynce’s behavior is unknown as he’s only been around the owner. He hasn’t been around children but did live with a miniature Schnauzer and a few other cats and was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate & playful with them and the adult. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful & confident with a medium-high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Prynce looks tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Prynce remains in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Prynce accepts the stroke, but tightly curls up and shows no interest to the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Prynce tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
