11/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Prodigy was brought in a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in a previous home. Reaction to assessor: Prodigy remained motionless, lying at the rear of the cage, back against wall and head resting on side of box, made some eye contact, shifted eyes to follow motion of the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Prodigy remained neutral, followed assessor with eyes, made a bit of eye contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Prodigy’s body posture tensed, began breathing more rapidly, but doesn’t move, continued to make some eye contact, shifted eyes to observe movement. Reaction to touch: Prodigy allowed touching on head and body, but posture remained tense. He remained motionless and seemed uncomfortable. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Prodigy is fearful and/or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
