02/04/16 17:05 Princess is a 15 year old black and white female domestic shorthair cat who is being surrendered because the owner is moving. Princess has been with the owner almost 15 years. Princess lived with 3 adults and 2 small children. There were no other animals in the home. She is reported to have been playful and tolerant of the children in the home. When visitors come to the home she will wait to greet them and may at first flee to another room but eventually will emerge. She uses an open litter box with clumping litter. She has not been exposed to dogs visiting the home. Princess preferes not to be bathed and has not had nail trims from the owner. Princess is tolerant of being picked up and enjoys being brushed. She does not mind going into a carrier or riding in a car. Princess likes balls to play swant and chase games with and string toys. She had a vertical scratching post made of cardboard which she likes to use. She does not scratch furniture in the home. When the family is home she likes to be where they are and when home alone she is well behaved. Princess likes dry food. Upon intake Princess was slightly cautious but receptive to introduction. Princess was loose for all handling and counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Princess was offered food and she ate very well.

As per previous owner , Princess lived with three adults and two small children. There were no other animals in the home. Princess is reported to have been playful and tolerant of the children in the home. When visitors come to the home she will wait to greet them and may at first flee to another room but eventually will emerge. She uses an open litter box with clumping litter. Reaction to assessor: Princess does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Princess comes to the front of cage meowing loudly Reaction to door cage opening: Princess remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Princess solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Princess is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment Princess was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Princess is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
