Animal ID: 24661
Animal Name: Princess
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
This animal came from:
Princess is an 11 year old spayed female that has no previous or current medical issues that the owner is aware of. Owner has had Princess in the home since she was a kitten but had to surrender due to landlord issues
Previously lived with:
How is this cat around strangers?
Around strangers, Princess is shy for a few minutes at first. Once comfortable, she is friendly and likes to be petted
How is this cat around children?
Owner did not have any children in the home but stated that when her 11 year old granddaughter would come to the home, Princess was relaxed and respectful around the child
How is this cat around other cats?
Owner had another spayed female in the home (the litter mate of Princess) and stated that Princess and Fluffy would always eat, sleep and play together in the home.
How is this cat around dogs?
Owner did not have any dogs in the home so behavior is unknown. When owners daughter would bring a large breed dog to the home, the owner would keep the animal separate from each other.
When owner would try to give Princess a bath or brush her coat, she was tolerant. Owner has never tried to trim her nails so behavior is unknown. When the owner would pick Princess up and hold her or disturb her while sleeping, Princess was not bothered. When being put into a carrier, Princess will struggle to run away.
Princess does not have a bite history
For a New Family to Know
Princess is described as friendly, affectionate, mellow and sometimes talkative. She has a medium activity level and likes to play with plastic bottles and caps. In the home, she liked to stay in her favorite spot with her sister Fluffy. Princess was kept indoors only and is litter box trained. In the home, Princess used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Owner had a scratching post made of carpet that Princess liked to sometimes use.
