02/15/17 18:51 Basic information: Prescott was brought in as a stray. The finder found him on the street. He brought Yuma to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Prescott had tense, stiff body. Prescott would attempt to retreat from extended hand. He eventually allowed himself to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and placed in a cat kennel.

KNOWN HISTORY: Prescott was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder reports he allowed them to handle him. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Prescott lays in place in looks at the assessor with soft eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Prescott appears to doze off. Reaction to cage door opening: Prescott stands up but remains in place. Reaction to touch: Prescott lays down again, leans into the stroke, and closes his eyes. Reaction to being picked up: Prescott sits calmly and allows the pickup. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 2/16/17: Super sleepy. Took a while to wake up, even when touched. Wandered around eating offered treats. Allowed and briefly leaned into pets, much more interested in eating, largely ignored me. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Allowed all handling, quiet and generally disinterested in goings on but tense. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Easy Going, Docile BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves.
