06/16/17 12:27 BASIC INFORMATION: Precious is a white and gray tabby that is 7 years old. The client received the cat from a friend that adopted Precious from ACC . Precious has been in the owners care for 2 years. Precious currently have been diagnosed with liver disease. SOCIALIZATION: Precious has lived with children ages 3 and up. She lies next to the children and watch them play. She is affectionate and rubs on their leg. She has never lived with dogs. She has been introduced to one cat but Precious would hiss and tense up. When strangers come over she would immediately approach and sniff. BEHAVIOR: Precious enjoys being bathed and stands still in the tub. She has never had her nails trimmed. But she enjoys a good coat brush. She struggles and hisses going into the carrier. She also allows to be picked up. She has never had a bite or scratch history. FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW: Precious is described by the family as affectionate, friendly and curious. She approaches stranger, loves to be petted and loves to cuddle. Her favorite toys are balls that she occasionally plays with. Precious spends most of the day outside in the backyard and sun bathed. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE: Precious during intake was very affectionate and purred when petted. She allowed being collard, scanned and photographed.

Reaction to touch: Precious allows petting along her head and body, leaning in and rolling over onto the kennel floor. Her tail begins to flick back and forth and thump on the kennel floor with continued petting but she continues to allow petting. Reaction to being picked up: Precious vocalizes and remains relaxed when picked up by the assessor. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Undeterminable at this time VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Affectionate, People Oriented POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: – Medical Conditions Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation.
