I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/20/2017 from NY 10040, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

06/21/2017 Exam Type DVM INTAKE – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 8.2 LBS.
DVM Intake Exam Estimated age: 2 years Microchip noted on Intake? yes – implanted last night History: found stray, no medical history Subjective: inquisitive, a little nervous, BAR, euhydrated Observed Behavior – allows most of exam except for blood draw Evidence of Cruelty seen – none Evidence of Trauma seen – none Objective BCS 4/9 EENT: Mild mucoid/serous discharge and blepharospasm OS, moderate dark discharge AU Oral Exam: both maxillary canines fractured, left more severe than right. Mild dental tartar. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact male, no staining or discharge, two testicles MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; scar on top of head, Woods negative CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: mild URI, possible ear mites, two fractured canines Plan; Start doxycycline 0.8 mL PO SID x 10 days. Move to isolation. Clean ears at time of surgery (already received flea/tick). Prognosis: good SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI

ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet ENRICHMENT NOTES: 6/21/17- Dozing on bedding, looked up when spoken to. Stood and came to the front when door opened, soft eyes and body. Leaned and arched into pets, purred. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Popcorn remains neutral, resting on her cage bedding. Reaction to door opening: Popcorn remains in place, relaxed body posture. Reaction to touch: Popcorn head bunts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains neutral. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Popcorn is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
