PITCH – A1074993

*** SAFE 05/28/16 *** BETRAYED! Poor PITCH is a neutered gent who was adopted from some other shelter, by the person he must be missing terribly right now. That person repaid years of love and loyalty by surrendering him to the kill-happy ACC when life got complicated, but they don’t seem to have betrayed the other cat in the home, in the same callous fashion. Favoritism seems to be alive and well wherever Pitch came from, unfortunately, and this delightful boy got the short end of the stick! Please read his shelter notes to get a full picture of this nice cat, a cat who liked to be in the same room with his person, a cat who likes drinking out of the sink and loves to be brushed. This guy is a REGULAR FELLOW whose NEW HOPE rating is caused by the fear of the ACC, and his confusion over being cruelly abandoned by his person! Tomorrow is NOT on his side, so please find a NEW HOPE rescue to step up for PITCH, tonight!

05/27/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pitch looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pitch remains hiding in the cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Pitch began to hiss, growl, and spit at the assessor’s hand to avoid contact. Placement determination: NH ONLY Pitch is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
