SAFE 1/20/18 Pinky is a 18 year old white and brown tabby spayed cat the was surrendered by her owner due to the fact she has a young child who his highly allergic to Pinky. The owner stated that she got Pinky from a family member and she has had her in her home for the past 18 years.

Oral Exam: adult dentition with mild to moderate dental disease, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FS-unable to shave due to behavior, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat, obese
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Rec geriatric workup with placement
SURGERY: permanent waiver due to age

How is this cat around strangers?
Owner stated that when around strangers Pinky is friendly and outgoing. Due to Pinky’s age she does not care to play with adults.
How is this cat around children?
Pinky has spent time around a 4 year old. When around him she was respectful. Pinky does not care to play with children.

Pinky has not spent time in the home around other cats so it is unknown how she will react.
How is this cat around dogs?
Pinky has not spent time in the home around dogs so it is unknown how she will react.
Owner stated that overall Pinky behaves well. on the way to the ACC in the car she was quiet. Pinky has not been bathed brushed nor had her nails trimmed in a long time so it is unknown how she will react. When being held she will struggle to get away. When being put in a carrier she will growl. Pinky isn’t bothered if she is disturbed while she sleeps.
Pinky has no bite history.

Owner described Pinky as friendly affectionate and mellow. When at home she likes to lay in her favorite spot. Pinky has been kept indoors only and eats dry food. Pinky is used to a uncovered litter box with crystal litter. Pinky has a scratching post made out of cardboard.
