Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Pink Petal was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Pink Petal was curled up on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Pink Petal lifts her body up and starts lip licking and stress grooming. Reaction to cage door opening: Pink Petal continues to lip lick and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Pink Petal keeps her tail lowered and allows petting all over. She tends to whip around and focus on the assessor’s hand when touched on her back and slowly gains confidence and rises up. Pink Petal sniffs the assessor’s hand and lightly rubs up against up for more attention. Reaction to being picked up: Pink Petal has a tense body when picked up and doesn’t mind being held. Behavior Determination: Experience Pink Petal may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
