SAFE 12/16/17 Beautiful “Secret Calico” Peppermint in need of placement @SIACC! This sweet little baby girl is in need of your help! She is currently being waived from surgery due to URI and flea anemia. Staff calls her a secret calico because of her beautiful beige, brown and orange markings. We adore her and are wanting her to feel better in her fur-ever home!

Oral Exam: deciduous teeth; mm’s pale pink
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FI
MSI: Weakly ambulatory, fleas, no masses noted, decreased skin turgor, mild crusted debris on distal forelimbs
CNS: depressed

pale mm’s- R/O flea anemia vs poor perfusion vs other
Prognosis: guarded
Plan:
Gave 1 ml dextrose on mucosa
Gave 20 mls SQ LRS (x)
parvocite snap test: negative
Placed IV catheter and gave 0.5 mls dextrose and 0.5 mls saline IV
gave capstar PO and applied Revolution
start doxycycline 9 mg PO SID x 10 days

Temporary waiver due to URI, anemia
