Basic Information:Pepper is a 2 year old male Black and white DSH. He came to his home a month ago and was surrender due to the owner’s daughter being hospitalized do to allergies.

How is this cat around strangers?Around strangers Pepper is very tense and will hiss and swat at anyone stranger that comes near him. Pepper is kept locked in the bathroom when strangers come over.
How is this cat around children?Pepper has never been around strangers.
How is this cat around other cats?Pepper has never been around other cats.
How is this cat around dogs?Pepper has never been around dogs.
Behavior NotesPepper does scratch on the drapes and curtains. Pepper will hiss or swat if some tries to brush him or pick him up.

For a New Family to KnowPepper rarely seek attention and is kept indoors. he is fed a mixture of wet and dry food once a day. Pepper is litter box trained and uses an uncovered box and clumping litter. Pepper has never had a scratching post.
Behavior Notes:Upon intake Pepper was very fractious was hissing and swatting while in the carrier. Pepper was placed in a feral den and was not collared do to his behavior.

Oral Exam: Teeth clean, minimal wear, pink mm
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Spayed
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: Overweight
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC. Rec weight loss/management plan with placement
Prognosis: Excellent
