Subjective: BARH. Nervous and tense but no signs of aggression, well behaved during PE and med handling

Oral Exam: clean incisors and canines

ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI, 2 testicles
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectum : normal externally

Pepe was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
3/26/18 Subjective: Nervous and tense, well behaved during PE and med handling
Resting on bedding, soft eyes and body. Lay in place when door opened. Allowed all pets, ignored me while eating treats. When done, started leaning into pets, purred, closed eyes.
Reaction to assessor:
Pepe remains neutral, crouched position with head up during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Pepe shows interest and engages the front with soft eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Pepe solicits attention with tail slightly down, looking around sudden noises.
Reaction to touch:
Pepe leans into the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates the petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:
Allows the pickup and remains calm.
H – Healthy
Pepe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
