Intake condition EXAM REQ Intake Date 03/04/2017, From NY 11434, DueOut Date 03/04/2017,
Client said that Penelope was adopted with one eye and half a tail.
Penelope is a domestic short hair cat who was surrendered to ACC due to personal problems of her previous owners.
Around strangers Penelope is friendly, outgoing and plays gently with adults. Penelope has never been around children, dogs or other cats so it is unknown how she will react to being around them.
Penelope has never bitten/ scratched another person or animal. Penelope will meow/cry when riding in a car. Penelope’s previous owner did not attempt to give her a bath so it is unknown how she will react to that event. Penelope enjoys having her nails trimmed, being brushed, being picked up/held, being placed in a carrier, and doesn’t mind being, disturbed while she is resting/sleeping.
For a New Family to know:
Penelope is described as friendly, affectionate, confident and quiet with a high activity level. When at home Penelope will stay in her favorite spot and likes to play with string and balls. Penelope has been kept indoors only and was fed both wet and dry food. Penelope is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Penelope was not given a scratching post so it is unknown if she will use one.
Penelope was curious during her intake and would look around and smell the area where she stood. Penelope allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.
Adorable fluffy girl, missing left eye, stub tail. Social, friendly, allows all handling. Picked up and held like a baby. Really cute. Gave fresh wet food and a toy. Initial med exam pending.
