Peanut was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Observed Behavior -tries to slink away, allows exam
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
12/5/17
Asleep in litter box, woke when door opened. Lay in place, soft eyes and body, still sleepy. Allowed touch, then started to lean and arch into pets, purred, ate offered treats.
Cage Condition:
Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:
Peanut Butter remains neutral, lying down on his cage bedding during the approach.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Peanut Butter becomes alert with normal shape eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Peanut Butter seems hesitant, pacing back and forth, ears erect and forward.
Reaction to touch:
Peanut Butter engages the assessor and slowly head bunts the hand while appreciating the petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:
He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
