I am an unaltered male, black and white Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 9 weeks old.
I weigh 2 pounds.
I was found in NY 11365.
I have been at the shelter since Apr 29, 2017.
04/30/17
DVM exam.
History – Stray kitten found with a littermate, no medical concerns noted.
Microchip scan negative.
Age est 2 months.
Observed behavior – Very fearful, hiding in back of cage with sibling, will not allow handling. Hisses and tries to flee.
Evidence of trauma or cruelty – No.
O: BARH. mm=pink, moist. HR=220, RR=28. BCS=5/9.
ORAL: Deciduous dentition.
EENT: Mod. congestion, mild serous nasal discharge. No ocular discharge.
H/L: Lungs clear, no obvious murmurs/arrhythmias.
ABD: Tense, no masses/organomegaly palpable.
UG: male, intact.
MS: Amb x 4.
INTEG: Full, clean haircoat. No skin lesions evident on limited exam.
NEURO: No neurologic abnormalities.
PLN: No enlargements noted.
A: 2 month old kitten with URI.
House in isolation.
Rx Doxycycline 50 mg/ml. 0.2 ml PO q 24 hours x 10 days. First dose administered.
Rec. foster placement to help socialize kittens.
Excellent prognosis.
