PEACHIE – A1067276
Safe - 3-17-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
***SAFE 03/17/16*** NEW HOPE NEEDED! Poor PEACHIE is feeling anything but peachy as he cowers in his cell at the ACC. This stunning 5-year-old guy is probably someone’s lost pet, since his health is quite good and he was free of external parasites upon intake. Anyone who thinks there is something “wrong” with PEACHIE for earning that New Hope rating at the shelter, think again! YOUR dog or cat would probably be every bit as fearful and wary if slammed into a death factory like the ACC, torn apart from everything that was familiar. Peachie needs ONE reliable person to serve as a foster/adoptive home, and that ONE person needs to work with a NEW HOPE RESCUE group in order to save him. Please message [email protected] for guidance with that process, and if you can’t bring Peachie home? Please share his story and pledge toward his rescue, because this guy needs a lot of angels to rally ’round his cause, tonight!

03/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Peachie looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Peachie remains sitting upright on his cage bedding, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Peachie avoids contact, retreats away from the assessor’s hand then began to charge, hiss, and swat. Placement determination: NH ONLY Peachie is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
