Patty Cakes has lived with one adult and two other cats. It is unknown how he will behavior with children. He lived with a dog and was very affectionate with the dog. He loved to play with the one cat in the home but is respectful of the older cat. His previous owner describes him as playful, firendly, assertive, talktive, and affectionate. Reaction to assessor: Patty Cakes does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Patty Cakes does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Patty Cakes seems curious and sniffs the airs Reaction to touch: Patty Cakes allows petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Patty Cakes is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Patty Cakes was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
