***SAFE 07/24/16 *** LOVES TO CUDDLE UP WITH CHILDREN, WALKS ON A LEASH – PATCHS WAS DUMPED FOR MOVING AND WILL NOW DIE FOR A COLD THE ACC GAVE HIM!! PATCHS sounds like a sweet, loveable kitten. He is only a year old and was adopted as a kitten. PATCHS was said to be friendly and good with all family members and kids and is very relaxed and laid-back. Sadly, these people decided to move away and not take their super handsome gray kitten with them!! Now in the shelter, this kitten is nervous and shy and for THAT, he was rated EXPERIENCE and whisked off to tonight’s euth list. DON’T LET PATCHS BE KILLED BECAUSE HIS OWNER DIDN’T CARE ABOUT HIM. THIS IS A WONDERFUL CAT AND HE WILL BE YOUR PURRING BEST FRIEND IN NO TIME! EMAIL THE HELP DESK FOR RESCUE INFO AT [email protected]

07/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Patchs is a very chill/ relaxed cat. Patchs is great with all family members, strangers etc. When around new people Patchs adjusts quickly and allows being picked up. Patchs normally doesn’t approach strangers however, when strangers approach him he is very friendly. Patchs has had limited time around both dogs and cats. When around both dogs and cats Patchs is super calm and respectful. Patch is also very good with children. When around children Patch attempts to cuddle up for a nap. Reaction to assessor: Patchs was sleeping at the front of the cage When spoken quietly: Patchs looks up at the assessor calmly Reaction to door cage opening: Patchs retreats Reaction to touch: Patchs allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Patchs is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Patchs was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying shy behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and retreats when the kennel was open. After a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
