PATAS – A1086365
Gone - 8-24-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/24/16*** PRETTY PATAS HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR RINGWORM – WHICH IS EASILY TREATED – BUT BECAUSE SHE IS ALSO AFRAID – HER DEATH IS SCHEDULED IN LESS THAN 18 HOURS FROM NOW! Yes, poor PATAS has had a rough time. She was brought into the shelter by someone who earlier notes says was “irate” and then after getting there she tested positive for ringworm. So this pretty 2 year old girl has been punished for having that, plus being afraid in the scary shelter environment. If you read her notes it certainly looks like the ACC did nothing for her, except give her a lime/sulphur dip for the ringworm. PATAS needs an experienced cat lover to give her a place to decompress and relax. If you have some cat whispering skills – please help PATAS. She is young and needs rescue by NOON or she may be the first wheeled down the hall to the euth room CONTACT A RESCUE NOW OR EMAIL THE HELP DESK IF YOU NEED INFO – [email protected] – HURRY – THERE IS LITTLE TIME LEFT!!

08/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Patas was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Patas was hiding behind her litter box with her body lowered. Reaction when softly spoken to: Patas lip licks and looks at the assessor with wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Patas remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Patas tolerates petting briefly then hisses and tries to bite. She shifts around and runs forward trying to flee. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Patas is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to bite, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
