I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/05/2016 from NY 10307, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

11/05/16 16:09 Finder did not have any interaction with animal and left the animal in the carrier that animal was found in but finder did state that the animal kept hissing at him. Behavior during intake: I was able to scan PAt for a mc, pet the animal and take a picture without any issues. When I approached Pat again, Pat started to growl and swat through the carrier.

Pat came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Pat allowed handling at first, but became stressed and did not allow further handling. Reaction to assessor: Pat is at the front of the cage, body tense. Reaction when softly spoken to: Pat hisses and growls at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Pat retreats to the back of the cage, ears flat, still growling. Reaction to touch: Pat avoids being touched and continues to hiss and growl. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Pat does not approach the assessor, displays fractious behavior, and does not allow handling. Pat is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
