07/06/16 13:02 Parris is a 7 year old spayed DSH. She was adopted from ACC and has been in owner’s car for 7 years. She is being surrendered into the center due to owner moving and no pets being allowed. There are no known health injuries or problems. Around strangers she is friendly and is gentle when she plays. She has been around children od all ages and i gentle. With other cats she is respectful. There is no known history of her biting another animal or person. There is no known history of her having litter box accidents. She is afraid when getting a bath and nails are being trimmed. Isn’t bothered when coat is being brushed but will struggle when being picked up and held. Parris is described as being friendly, independent and confident with a low activity level that would be best in any home. When home she will follow you around or play with her toys balls or sting. She was mostly indoors and would sleep anywhere comfortable. She ate both wet and dry food. She is litter box trained using a hooded box with clumping litter. She used a scratching post made of carpet and cardboard.

Parris is described as being friendly, independent and confident with a low activity level. Reaction to assessor: Parris does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Parris comes to the front of cage soliciting attention Reaction to door cage opening: Parris remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Parris solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Parris is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment Parris was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Parris is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
