Her previous owner was unable to care for her medically as it is suspected that she has a urinary tract infection. Paris needs someone to help her feel better! 08/13/16 14:05 Basic Information Paris is an approximate 4 year old spayed domestic short hair who is being surrendered because owner does not afford the cost of having a pet. Owner stated she took her pet to a vet about 2 months ago for a UTI. She thinks her pet is better but also stated her pet still pees outside of her cat litter box. Socialization Owner stated Paris is friendly around strangers. She has lived around kid’s ages 3, 4, and 11 and was tolerant of them. Owner stated Paris does not play with adults or kids. She has never lived with another cat. She lived with a small dog and was playful and tolerant of this dog. She has never bitten or scratched a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated Paris pees out of the litter box; she pees in the same spot of the house all the time. Paris has never traveled in a car. Owner stated she pees out of the litter box daily and she has been doing this for about 3 months. Owner does not know why this behavior is happening. For a New Family to Know Owner described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a medium activity level. Paris does not seek attention at home. She likes to play with string toys and is kept indoors only. She sleeps on the sofa or owner’s bed. She eats dry food, owner fills bowl once a day. She goes poo poo in the litter box but pees outside of the litter box regularly. Paris has a hooded litter box and uses Fresh Step cat litter. She scratches on the door frame made out of smooth wood. Behavior during Intake Paris tolerated all handling during intake. She purred and arched her back when I petted her. No signs of aggression were displayed during intake.

She has never lived with another cat. She lived with a small dog and was playful and tolerant of this dog. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Paris immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Paris remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Paris head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Paris interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
