***GONE 03/05/16 *** POOR PAPAYA IS A 12 YR OLD SENIOR WHO WAS FOUND BY SOMEONE WHO COULDN’T KEEP HER. SHE NEEDS URGENT MEDICAL AND A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT!! PAPAYA was found by someone who noticed she was not well and brought her into the shelter thinking it was the right thing to do as they could not keep her. The streets of the city were not kind to poor PAPAYA and she was emaciated, depressed, slightly dehydrated and has more underlying issues which need a full evaluation by a competent vet. However, PAPAYA does have a great appetite and she is very sweet according to her finder. The ACC however, didn’t bother to do a behavior evaluation on this older girl as they were already planning her demise tomorrow at noon. The medical notes on this cat are full of possibilities which sound scary and negative, but the ACC is not known for it’s efficient vetting or diagnosis. PAPAYA deserves a chance to be seen by a competent vet who will look at her as a loving pet and not a number in a cage. Senior PAPAYA deserves this chance in a warm and loving environment and not to be killed by strangers on a cold steel table. PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING PAPAYA A RETIREMENT HOME AND SOME LOVE AND HAPPINESS IN HER LIFE. WHO KNOWS- SHE MAY SURPRISE YOU AND BECOME THE BEST PET YOU EVER HAD!! CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT PAPAYA NOW!!

03/01/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/01/16 11:58 Papaya is a geriatric DSH cat. She was found outside, appearing ill. She’s thin, has diarrhea, sneezes a little, and has a tail with very little fur and some scabs. She’s dull and inactive but eats well. Her finders cared for her for 2 weeks and report that she’s sweet but they were unable to keep her. Papaya was lying on her paws with her face down. She didn’t respond while I scanned (-) and collared her.
