No nasal or ocular discharge noted. Oral Exam: Clean adult teeth. PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: Female, no spay scar palpated MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat other than ear lesions noted CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: Normal externally Wood’s lamp – a few green-fluorescing hairs at the site of the ear lesions Assessment: Suspected ringworm Prognosis: Good Plan: 1. Itrafungol 1.4 ml PO SID x21 days 2. Lime dip twice weekly until two negative DTM cultures are completed 3. Behavior Condition: 1. Green
Panini was tense and crouched on the counter. She was tolerant while I pet, scanned (-), collared, picked up, and placed her in a carrier. She sat crouched in her carrier and looked at us when we passed.
Basic Information:: Panini was brought to ACC with another cat by police as they were left in their apartment after their family was evicted. The landlord told them the cats lived with a dog as well.
Behavior Notes: Police report that Panini approached and was friendly and tolerant when they picked her up and placed her in a carrier.
KNOWN HISTORY:: Panini was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:: Observed Behavior – Allows all handling
ENRICHMENT NOTES:: Resting on bedding, soft eyes and body, started meowing on approach. Stood when door opened, head-butted, leaned and arched into pets, purred. Super sweet.

Reaction when softly spoken to:: Panini remains soft in place.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Panini seeks affection, leans forward with tail up and remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed.

Reaction to being picked up:: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
