09/17/16 16:12 Basic Information: Panda is a 7 month old domestic shorthair. He was surrender because he’s pervious owner is moving and can’t take the animal along. Panda has never had any health issues or injuries. Socialization Panda lived with one adults and children ages 4 and 8 years old. Owner stated panda is excellent towards children. He can be shy when visitors come to the house but warms up to them when he comfortable. Panda has never been around other animals. Panda has lived in a home with another cat. Panda was respectful and playful with the other animal. Behavior: Panda has no pervious bite history with anyone or animal. He does have a habit of scratching on sofa and rugs. Panda has never had any grooming or bushing. Panda like to be held and rubbed. Panda does getting frighten around loud noises. He will run and hide. panda loves neck rubs. For a New Family to Know: panda is litter box trained and has never had any problems. Panda will follow owner around the house, be in the same room or sit on owner bed. Panda eats dry food called Purina seafood flavor. Panda isn’t responsive to toys. Intake Behavior: Panda was alert and nervous upon intake. panda allowed all handling.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Panda has lived with one adult and children ages 4 and 8. She is excellent around children and can be shy around strangers but warms up once he’s comfortable. Panda has lived with another cat and was respectful and playful with him. She has a habit of scratching on sofas and rugs and enjoys being held by his owner. Reaction to assessor: Panda makes eye contact with the assessor from the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Panda comes forward and lightly head butts the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Panda is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Panda sniffs the assessor’s hand, lightly brushes up for attention and allows petting all over. She purrs softly, gives light head butts and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Panda was a bit tense when picked up and slowly warms up in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Panda interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
