***SAFE 05/16/16*** PACIFICA WOULD LIKE YOU TO KNOW THAT SHE IS CAPABLE OF CHANGE WITH A PURRSON WHO IS KIND AND PATIENT…..Right now, PACIFICA is pretty much terrified at the ACC and has not been used to people handling her. No obvious injuries have been found and it seems that PACIFICA is a basically healthy 7 month old….She is not agressive, she just needs to proceed at her own pace. IF YOU ARE THE PATIENT PURRSON THAT PACIFICA NEEDS, PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT HER NOW!! She won’t make it out at noon tomorrow, unless someone steps up. If you need assistance, email us at [email protected]

05/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Pacifica and at the time she was near front. Pacifica leans away and her eyes are focused. Pacifica raises paw as a warning to back off then hisses then retreats to the back. Reaction to assessor: Pacifica does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Pacifica does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Pacifica appears curious Reaction to touch: Pacifica allows petting and attention with a slow Try picking cat up: Pacifica is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Pacifica was displaying shy behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remain motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
