ORIOLE – A1062903
Safe - 1-21-2016 Brooklyn
**SAFE 01/21/16** Lost family pets should not DIE simply because people don’t know to check the ACC, but that is the fate poor ORIOLE is facing, tomorrow. This is a NEUTERED, sweet cat who is feeling very stressed at the shelter. Time and time again, people still think the ASPCA is where stray cats go so they don’t file a missing pet report, and they don’t check the ACC. ORIOLE should make someone a lovely best friend, once he gets a minute to decompress in his new surroundings. Make sure this guy gets a FOSTER or ADOPTER lined up to save his life tonight, or this exceptional cat will be killed tomorrow.

01/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Oriole was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Oriole makes eye contact with the assessor and lowers his head in the litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Oriole licks lip and will slowly inch to the back. His body is arched and his eyes are focused on the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Oriole remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Oriole tolerates petting but flinches when touched. His ears bend flat and will shift away from contact. Behavior Determination: Experience Oriole tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
