OREO – A1067462
Safe - 3-21-2016 Manhattan
***SAFE 03/22/16 *** NOT COOL! While the rest of NYC is celebrating St. Patrick’s day tomorrow, the euth squad at the ACC are going to be hard at work, doing what they do best. Three of the cats they plan to kill right around noon are OREO, KELVIN and MELVIN, a trio of young boys who deserve a very different fate. All three are EXPNOCHILD rated because the shelter scares the shamrocks right off of them, but really, these are all innocent kittens. Oreo is about a year old and Kelvin & Melvin are about 14 weeks, so nothing in their short lives has prepared them to shine in a shelter facility. Please consider OREO-KELVIN-MELVIN tonight, please share them widely and pledge toward their care. And if YOU can be the lifesaving foster/adopter for one or all of these cats, please act now!

03/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Oreo looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Oreo remains hiding in the cat den, body held tightly, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Oreo accepts the stroke, but body stiffens up during the touch and shows no interest. Placement determination: Experience / no child Oreo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
