Oreo leans forward to sniff, and then he gets up and approaches the front.

Oreo remains soft and relaxed.

Oreo head-butts, leans in for petting, starts to knead, and rubs against the assessor. He drools when petted and purrs loudly. When petting stops, he gently uses his paw to pat the assessor for more.
Reaction to being picked up:
Oreo is a bit tense during pick up, but remains calm when held.

Oreo is and 8 year old neutered black and white declawed cat who was surrendered by his owner due to the fact she had to move and cannot have pets. The owner stated that she got Oreo as a gift when he was 4 months old.

He has been kept indoors only and eats both wet and dry food. He is used to an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Oreo does not scratch due to the fact he is declawed in his front paws.
Behavior Notes:
During intake Oreo was friendly and outgoing. He allowed the counselor to collar him and take his picture with no problems.
