Subjective: Alert, tense body.
Observed Behavior – Tense, came out of carrier slowly. During oral exam, pt abruptly flinched and tried to run away. He was restrained and put into a Freeman net. He tolerated the exam with firm head control, but yowled and hissed for vaccinations, and then urinated.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – None
Evidence of Trauma seen – None
Objective
BAR-H, MMs pink and moist, BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: Mild tartar and gingivitis
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Tense, not distended, no masses palpated
U/G: Male intact, testicles S/S
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: Normal externally
Assessment: Apparently healthy adult male cat
Prognosis: Excellent
Plan: Neuter (MC and CT at time of neuter)
