*** SAFE 12/10/17 *** After one whole week, ONYX was returned! Adopter said she had too many animals and ONYX was going outside the litter box……Hmmmm. Were proper introductions made? Time given to adjust? Clearly Not!! Please help get ONYX into the right home tonight!

Hello, my name is Onyx . My animal id is #14166. I am a desexed female black cat at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 1 years 3 months 2 weeks old. – P
I came into the shelter as a returns on 06-Dec-2017, with the surrender reason stated as not a fit – too many animals already.
Onyx is at risk for medical reasons, having been diagnosed with Upper Respiratory Infection which is contagious to other cats. We have not fornmally assessed Onyx’s behavior, but we have had no concerns around Onyx’s behavior since being in the shelter.

Upon intake Onyx allowed all handling. She allowed counselor to pet and caress her. Minimal handling was performed due to possible URI.

Basic Information:: Onyx is a roughly 2 year old cat whom was gotten from ACC and kept in the same home for about a week. Unfortunately due to not being house trained she could not be kept.
If yes, Please elaborate:: Onyx was reported to defecate on her previous owner’s couch and rug on a daily basis.
