***SAFE 05/26/16*** WENDIGO IN FOSTER CARE…… LEAVE IT TO THE ACC TO KILL LIST A MOM CAT AND LEAVE HER KITTEN BEHIND WITH A HORRIBLE NAME! Yes, here is another perfect example of ACC cruelty. Here we have poor OLYMPUS who was trapped and dumped in the ACC and punished with a New Hope rating. Then we have her kitten WENDIGO – a name for an urban legend depicting a cannibal!! Nice going ACC. We see how you really take great care in naming these cats to facilitate their adoption! What we do see is how you take NO CARE but to facilitate their DEMISE! OLYMPUS is not quite 2 years old – basically a grown kitten who if given some time, patience and love, can turn into a really nice companion kitty. But she won’t get that chance unless a HERO steps up for her before noon Monday. CALLING ALL CAT WHISPERERS!! GIVE OLYMPUS A CHANCE FOR A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY!! OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!
*MUST BE PULLED BY A NEW HOPE RESCUE**

05/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Olympus and at the time she stayed at the back. Olympus kept her body low and was nervous. She looks around and avoids contact. Olympus tolerates petting with scratcher. Reaction to assessor: Olympus was low and tense at the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Olympus stayed at the back and appeared nervous Reaction to door cage opening: Olympus shifts her body uncomfortably Reaction to touch: Olympus tolerants petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience Plympus was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Became uncomfortable as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. . We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
