I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/30/2016 from NY 10462, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

8/30/16 19:47 Basic information: Octavia was brought in as a stray. The finder found on the street, the finder placed Octavia in a cat carrier and brought her to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Octavia was relaxed with soft body. Helena allowed to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and placed in a cat kennel.

09/04/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Octavia was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Her finder was able to place her into a carrier and bring her to the care center. She was relaxed and had a soft body upon intake, and allowed easy handling during her initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Octavia was calm, relaxed, and friendly when approached. Reaction when softly spoken to: Octavia comes to the front and reaches out with his paw. Reaction to cage door opening: Octavia remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Octavia head-butts, begins to purr, and leans in for petting. She was very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Octavia remains soft and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Octavia interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
