***SAFE 07/20/16*** FRIENDLY NYLA LIVED WITH KIDS AND BIRDS AND NOW HER OWNER DUMPED HER FOR MOVING TO NON – PET FRIENDLY HOUSING!! Again and again – why do people get cats when they don’t plan on keeping them when they move? This is a no brainer folks! If you won’t love your pet enough to make sure they come with you where you move, then don’t get a pet!! Now poor NYLA who was the perfect little lady in the home, is facing death in less than 18 hours! NYLA was soliciting attention at her assessment and giving head-butts, but then she nipped a bit at the assessor’s hand. Do we need to tell you that they use a big ole’ fake plastic one? I’d nip too if that was stuck in my face! But they gave her an EXPNOCHILD rating and a trip to tonight’s list! NYLA deserves better and for one thing that is to live and have a happy ending to her story. PLEASE GET THIS SUPER SWEET CALICO GIRL OUT OF HARM’S WAY AND INTO YOUR HOME. EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO NOW.

07/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nyla’s former owner stated around strangers she is friendly/outgoing. She lived with an 8yr old and was gentle, exuberant, relaxed/affectionate with them and the adult in the home. There are two birds in the home and sometimes Nyla would jump up onto the top of the cage and watch them. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow & quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Nyla looks neutral, sitting upright on her cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nyla remains in place, meowing attention. Reaction to touch: Nyla is pushy with her head-butts and began to randomly hiss while she solicits then nips at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Nyla solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention. Due to the nips we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children.
