He’s a gentle soul, loves everyone, cats, people, kids. He was dumped at ACC with his friend and probable sibling (PRINCESS – A1081729) who isn’t listed tonight. NUTMEG and his sister would make a great team for someone wanting two sweet cats who have great natures. They would be great for anyone wanting too save cats, and get them out of ACC and have a ready made cat family. Both these cats are healthy and friendly, though NUTMEG has a slight cold which really isn’t a big deal. But it will be unless he’s pulled or adopted or fostered! Please save this great cat and help them stay alive by offering to Foster!!! Please save NUTMEG now!!!

07/18/16 14:28 Basic Information: Nutmeg is a domestic short hair cat that was surrendered with his house/litter mate Princess due to his previous owner having too many pets. Socialization: Around strangers Nutmeg is friendly, outgoing and plays gently and exuberantly with adults. Nutmeg has lived with children ages infant to 7 years old, around them Nutmeg is affectionate, relaxed and plays gently with them. Nutmeg has lived with several other cats, around them Nutmeg was relaxed and affectionate. Nutmeg has never lived with dogs so it is unknown how he will react to those events. Behavior: Nutmeg has never bitten another person or animal. Nutmeg has no behavior issues and has never been in a car. Nutmeg is afraid when someone gives him a bath, or trims his nails. Nutmeg enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, placed in a carrier, and doesn’t mind being disturbed while he is resting/sleeping. For a New family to know: Nutmeg is described as: friendly, affectionate, playful, shy, talkative and quiet with a medium activity level. Nutmeg likes to stay in his favorite spot and doesn’t play with toys. Nutmeg was kept indoors only and was fed dry food twice a day. Nutmeg is litter box trained and used an uncovered , litter box with clumping litter. Intake behavior: Nutmeg allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression.

Nutmeg’s previous owner reports he is friendly and outgoing around strangers. He has lived with children and was relaxed and affectionate with them. He plays gently with adults and children, but is exuberant when playing with adults. He has lived with several other cats and is relaxed and affectionate with them. He enjoys being brushed, picked up and held, and doesn’t mind being place in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. He was best described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy, talkative, and quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Nutmeg was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Nutmeg rolls over and rubs his cheeks against his bedding. Reaction to cage door opening: Nutmeg remains soft and relaxed and gets up to greet the assessor by the opening. Reaction to touch: Nutmeg head-butts lightly and accepts petting on his head and back, but his tail remains lowered and he seems unsure of his surroundings. Reaction to pick up: Nutmeg remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Nutmeg interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. He has no known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
