NUEVE – A1076947

*** GONE 06/18/16 ***MAKE NUEVE A LUCKY KITTY! FELV POSITIVE Nueve, a beautiful three year old girl is in dire need of a miracle tonight. This awesome sweetheart with a great behavior rating came into the shelter with several of his feline friends (including Siete, and A1076952-Trece–who are listed tonight). They were all “stray surrenders” but they all seem to be calm and gentle kitties who most likely once had homes. Each one deserves a new “leash” on life and a chance for a happy new life. Nueve (like her purrfect pals) are low maintenance kitties who would be purrfect companions to just about anyone. Can you be the kind purrson to open your heart and home to Nueve and perhaps one or more of her friendly feline pals? You can reserve Tres online or contact a New Hope rescue who can help arrange transportation. Please don’t let Nueve’s FELV+ status be a death sentence. Email our help desk and we will help you save Nueve’s precious life–[email protected] Make the call for this sweet girl NOW!!!

06/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Nueve was at the front of the cage sleeping When spoken quietly: Nueve looked up at the assessor and stayed at the front of the cage Reaction to door cage opening: Nueve remained motionless at the front but appeared nervous Reaction to touch: Nueve retreats towards the back of the cage but tolerates petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Nueve is tense when held Behavior Determination: Experience Nueve was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes motionless when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
