***SAFE 04/15/2016*** NEW HOPE rescue is needed tonight for NOU NOU, a 6-year-old girl whose former owners have thrown her under the bus in more ways than one. First of all, bringing her to the ACC and handing her in with an “attack people” surrender reason, is a fairly damning thing to do. Second of all, check out their owner surrender notes; those folks took the time to spell out every flaw they could, of poor Nou Nou’s. Where is HER voice? Who will speak up for NOU NOU and explain her side of the story? It’s possible that she felt threatened by the people she used to live with, it’s possible she has undiagnosed pain, it’s possible she felt that she needed to protect herself from something in her past. Of course, anyone who chooses to foster/adopt Nou Nou through a New Hope rescue is going to need to proceed intelligently with her, but cats are not randomly aggressive animals. Most cats do what they do for a REASON, even if the people around them are too dense to connect those dots. Please make sure NOU NOU is not killed for being misunderstood! Find a foster/adopter who is willing to work with a New Hope rescue partner, and save Nou Nou tonight!
