SAFE 2/17/18 – WAS ADOPTED FROM THE ACC ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO. *NEEDS VET CARE*Noni was a bit of a nervous nelly when he was first surrendered, but has definitely warmed up a lot! He’s attention-seeking, head butting, and a real purrbaby. Noni is a 10 year old, DSH male cat who was neutered prior to coming into the shelter. He has no known health issues or injuries and has not seen a vet recently. He was adopted from ACC about 10 years ago and has been in the home since. He was surrendered due to a family member having allergies to the cat and the litter box issues.

Lying in back of kennel with a low, tense body, head facing towards kennel wall. He tolerates petting along his head and body while tuning slowly to watch and sniff my hand, eyes wide and pupils dilated. Needs more time to adjust.

Standing upright in back of kennel, ears forward. Leans in for petting as I reach towards him and allows touch along his head and body. Steps forward to allow further betting. Doing better today!

Sitting up at the back of the kennel. He slowly comes forward and looks around at his surroundings. Perks up when pet along his back. Leans in for cheek rubs, purrs. Didn’t mind being held. Doing great!

Noni seems unsure and leans away initially, but slowly starts to warm up with attention. He arches his back, leans in when rubbed on his cheeks and starts to purr. He’s very affectionate and allows petting all over.

Noni interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Noni was surrendered due to him having litter box issues, however we are unaware of what, if any, modification steps were taken to try and address this behavior. He’s been eliminating appropriately (urinating and defecating) in his litter box during his stay at the care center. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Noni has been defecating in the owners kitchen sink for the past few months. The owner stated she cleans the litter box every other day and completely washes it once a week. Noni has no known health issues to cause these litter box issues at this time.
