04/30/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/30/17 19:15 Basic Ninja is an 11 year old female dsh. Her owner has had her since 2006 when she found her on the street as a tiny kitten. She is surrendering her because other members in the house have allergies. She has not been to the vet in a long time and has had no injuries health problems. Socialization Ninja is relaxed around strangers and is calm. She has spent time with children ages 10 and 8 in the home and with them is relaxed. She is respectful of the children and tolerates handling from them but does not seek attention much. She doesn’t play much with adults or children, but when she does it is gentle. She has lived with 3 other cats in the home, 1 female and 2 males. With them she is respectful. She plays with them gently and sometimes exuberantly. She has not spent time around other pets. She does not have a bite history. Behavior Ninja will sometimes scratch on the furniture sometimes but otherwise is very well-behaved. She has never been in a car. She does not have litterbox problems. Her owner never bathed her. She isn’t bothered when her owner cuts her nails, brushes her, picks her up and holds her, disturbs her while resting or sleeping. She struggles when being put in the carrier. For New Family Ninja is affectionate, mellow and friendly. Her activity level is low. Her owner loves how relaxed she is and how easy she is to care for. Ninja loved to play with her toys, however now loves to look out the window. She will be in the same room as her owner or in her favorite spot when at home. She loves to play with balls and string toys. She has been kept indoors only and sleeps in her owner’s bed or on the windowsill. She eats both wet and dry food 2x day. She is litterbox trained and uses both a uncovered and hooded litterbox with Fresh Step clumping litter. She’s never had a scratching post and uses the furniture to scratch her nails on. During intake Ninja was nervous with dilated pupils. She allowed all handling and collaring and also allowed the counselor to trim her nails and look inside her mouth.
