Reaction to touch: Nicki tenses up and starts to grumble when the assessor extends his hand out. She squints and tolerates gentle petting on her head as long as you go slowly. The end of her tail starts to flick with every stroke but she doesn’t display any further reaction. After a few soft pets she tilts her head for rubs, nuzzles up and gives head butts. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet Timid POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: None BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: Experienced, adult only Behavior Asilomar TM – Treatable-Manageable RECOMMENDATIONS: None BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Nicki tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in an experienced, adult only home.
