NIBBLES – A1093856
Gone - 10-22-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 10/22/16***NIBBLES IS ONE OF MANY STRAYS BROUGHT INTO THE ACC…BUT WHEN SOMEONE “FINDS” A CAT AND BRINGS HIM IN, THAT’S A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY! NIBBLES was found wandering in the street. Who’s to say he isn’t someone’s cat? And, now, this person just made life really hard for him! Even if the owners are looking for him, the ACC has made sure they do it before noon tomorrow…it he will be killed! And…just to make it even hard, this fearful, 3 year old will need a New Hope rescue to pull him to safety! But they cannot do that without a FOSTER OR ADOPTER in PLACE! Please, CONTACT a New Hope rescue and offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT NIBBLES AND LITERALLY SAVE HIS LIFE!

10/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nibbles was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Nibbles was curled up inside his feral den at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Nibbles stress meows from inside but doesn’t make eye contact or come out when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Nibbles comes out and immediately runs forward towards the kennel door. Reaction to touch: Nibbles stress meows at the front and waits by the door to escape. He allows petting on his head through the kennel bars but appears uncomfortable and is more interested in leaving. His body is tense, he keeps his tail lowered and he continues to stress meow. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Nibbles is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and allows limited handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
