NEMO is a year old, AVERAGE rated and a lovely, affectionate guy. He is not yet neutered but that’s the former owner’s fault…..He lived with an 11 year old and would be a purrfect companion for a family with older children. NEMO IS A SWEETHEART!! 10/18/16 17:56 Basic information: Nemo is a 1 year old male. He was found as a stray when he was a kitten. He was surrendered because he gets nervous when he hears construction and recently a 2 year construction project started in her neighborhood. She has no known injuries or health problems and the last time she went to the vet was 8 months ago. Socialization: Around strangers Nemo is friendly and outgoing and gentle when he plays with adults. He lived with an 11 year old child and with him he was relaxed and affectionate and gentle at play. Behavior: Nemo has never attempted to bite a person or animal. He isn’t bothered if he’s given a bath. He enjoys having his coat brushed and being picked up. He isn’t bothered if he is placed in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know: Nemo is described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy and quiet with a medium activity level. His previous owner liked to follow him around. He liked to play with balls. He was kept indoors only. At night he slept in a cat bed. He ate dry cat food. He is litter box trained and used an uncovered litter box and clay litter. He scratched on furniture made of fabric. Behavior during intake: Nemo had a crouched low body and attempted to hide. He allowed me to pet him, collar him and take his pictures. He showed no signs of aggression.

Former owner stated around strangers Nemo is friendly and outgoing and gentle when he plays with adults. He lived with an 11 year old child and with him he was relaxed and affectionate and gentle at play. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful, shy and quiet with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Nemo looks neutral, lying down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Nemo stands with tail slightly down and engage the front of the cage, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Nemo head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He briefly allows the pickup then calmly jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Nemo interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
