**SAFE 01/08/16** NICE NEMI GETS A SECOND CHANCE!! MAKE IT COUNT!! NEUTERED NEMI IS A MATURE GENT WHO IS TIRED OF ACC POKING AND PRODDING AND WANTS A HOME!! NEMI came into the ACC as a stray with his friend ARROW (not listed). Both boys are overweight and healthy so they must be strays of convenience for someone….. NEMI is a quiet guy and his BEGINNER rating turned to an EXPERIENCE rating with all of ACC’s “handling”. Sadly the ACC isn’t going to give this guy who likes chin rubs the time he really needs to blossom…..PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS CREAM BEAUTY TONIGHT!! NEMI IS READY FOR A GREAT NEW YEAR!!

12/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Update:12/21/15 Behavior Determination: Experience Nemi remains social and affectionate when interacting with his human caretakers, however he becomes irritated with extensive handling. He is no longer tolerant of pick up, shifting away from the assessor’s grip and begins to whine and growl. He will, however, continue to allow petting on his head when approached slowly after the attempt, and seems to appreciate chin rubs. Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation, and it is difficult to determine how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior at this time. Because he is showing distance-increasing behavior with certain types of handling, we recommend this cat go to a home with experienced cat owners. Date: 12/16/15 Reaction to assessor: Nemi does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Nemi comes to the front of cage and sniffs the assessor hand Reaction to door cage opening: Nemi remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Nemi solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Nemi is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner Nemi was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Nemi is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
