Safe - 1-3-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Amsterdog Please honor your pledges: http://amsterdog.org/donate/
**SAFE 01/03/16** ‘Naveen A1061698 is a 10 yr old male white & spotted brown tabby DSH feline who was found curled up in a ball in the doorway of the finder’s residence. They stated they recognized him as belonging to an elderly person who passed away there a few years ago. They were told by a neighbor he was taken in but was recently tossed out. The finders felt sad for him and weren’t able to keep him themselves due to them having a senior feline who is very protective of their human and home. The finders stated Naveen allowed all handling and is very sweet. They placed him into a box they found and brought him in. According to an ACC rep, during intake, ” Naveen meowed when approached and began to head butt my hand and the scanner. He allowed to be picked up/held from out of the box and placed on our back drop for his photo session. Naveen allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of where he posed like he’s been taking pictures for years. If I had to step away from him to get a better angle he would move to be closer to me. He rubbed his head on my chest as I carried him to his kennel where he was placed within with ease.'” (This was NAVEEN’S intake note). This very gentle fellow is FELV+ which means NAVEEN could live with dogs, another FELV+ cat or even be retested to see indeed if he is truly positive, but being FELV+ narrows this boys chances down. If you have separate space for a boy that slept curled on on the steps of the people who put him out, if you have space in your home and heart for him, please reach out on his behalf. Please don’t let this sweet guy go gently into the night to be killed. Please find a way to get him safe. His life depends on you!
