ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 12/28/17 Timid initially – hissed when I pulled up the cage cover. Tail curved, seems unsure of her surroundings. She slowly comes forward to investigate and sniffs my hand. Her body perks up when pet along her body. She leans in for rubs, her tail quivers and she gives head butts. Very affectionate but still tenses up and retreats whenever she hears a loud noise or when someone walks by. Very food motivated- loves tuna. Doing better!
Cage Condition:: Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:: Naomi stress meows, then slowly comes forward to interact with the assessor.
Reaction when softly spoken to:: Naomi continues stress meowing and gently rubs her body against the kennel door.
Reaction to cage door opening:: Naomi retreats to the back of the kennel.
Reaction to touch:: Naomi seems wary of her surroundings and stress meows when the assessor extends his hand. She’s hesitant at first, but slowly starts to warm up with petting and attention. Her body arches and she gives head butts, but she seems to prefer being pet on her head. When the assessor pet her along her back for an extended period of time she quickly whipped around and vocalized.
