NALA – A1073550
Safe - 6-7-2016 Manhattan
***SAFE 06/07/16*** PURR-FECT BABY GIRL NEEDS HELP TONIGHT! NALA is the complete package! She’s just a kitten at a year old, SPAYED, and as you can tell from her photo this torbie is a knockout! Nala was surrendered to the shelter when her owner was arrested, and now she will pay the price for his mistakes if someone doesn’t save her in time! This beautiful cat lived with a 3 year old child and played gently with them, even allowing them to push her around in baby doll strollers! She also lived in harmony with a small dog. She uses her litter box, does not scratch furniture and likes to use her cardboard scratcher. Nala is a good girl and has earned an AVERAGE RATING! She allowed all petting and handling and came soliciting attention and talking away to her assessor. Her only crime? She has an easily treatable cold! But the ACC doesn’t care how amazing a cat is, they will take any excuse they can to KILL! Nala will DIE AT NOON TOMORROW if someone doesn’t step up for her! Will that be YOU? This beautiful lady is a catch, don’t miss out!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Nala was in her previous home for two weeks. Her caretaker describes her as playful, friendly, and affectionate. She stayed with 3-year-old children, with whom she was tolerant and playful. She was also playful with a Shih Tzu. Nala was a bit tense at intake and did not tolerate medical restraint well during her initial medical examination, but she has warmed up to her new caretakers quickly and is extremely social and interactive. Reaction to assessor: Nala is at the front of her kennel, reaching through the bars and vocalizing to solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Nala remains at the front, interacting with the assessor. Reaction to touch: Nala is engaged with the assessor’s hand, rolling onto her side and allowing petting on the head and body. She is active and seems quite playful, but does not escalate and keeps her nails and teeth in check even when played with more vigorously. Placement determination: Average Nala interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. She has no known history of behavioral problems. She is an active young cat and we recommend an active home with a family who will keep her mentally and physically stimulated. We recommend utilizing fishing pole-type toys. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
