ENRICHMENT NOTES:: 12/20/17 Crouched in front of kennel, body tense. Hisses and makes eye contact when spoken to. She tolerates petting along her head and body while continuing to hiss and vocalize, ears flattening as she turns her head to watch the bear-claw. Comes forward for treats and eats them while grumbling. Needs more time to adjust. 12/21/17 Crouched in back of kennel, ears forward. Makes eye contact and vocalizes softly when spoken to. She turns her head and hisses as my hand passes along her back, tail becoming pilo-erect at the base. I take out some treats and click and reward each time she allows petting or head-butts my hand without hissing. Food motivated – did well. May be showing signs of petting induced aggression. 12/22/17 Lying down near the back of the cage. She vocalizes, then slowly comes forward to greet. She sniffs my hand and accepts gentle petting on her head and along her body. Her tail quivers, she gives head butts and will occasionally whip around and hiss when pet for an extended period of time.
