During intake Mysie allowed handling by the owner but became nervous around staff and attempted to flee, during exam Mysie attempted to flee again and attempted to scratch staff handling her. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: recently cleaned Reaction to assessor: Mysie is hiding in her den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Mysie continues to hide. Reaction to cage door opening: Mysie begins to growl and hiss. Reaction to touch: Mysie growls, does not allow petting. Reaction to being picked up: Did not attempt. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: growling/hissing RECOMMENDATIONS: _X_ Placement with a New Hope partner BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: _x_ New Hope Only Mysie is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home.
